We’re Gilkey Cattle Company—and while we don’t sell beef, we do serve up a hearty helping of classic country, southern rock, and reimagined singer-songwriter favorites, all with a sound that’s uniquely our own.
The band was founded by Garry Cuthbertson, lead vocalist and guitarist, who’s been playing and singing music most of his life. Nearly a decade ago, Kate and Garry met when they were asked to join other musicians in a wedding band.
Wildwood Acoustic Duo
The core members of Gilkey Cattle Co. also perform as an acoustic duo under the name Wildwood, in addition to appearing with the full band, which typically performs as a four- or five-piece. No matter the setup, our goal is the same: to make music that feels honest, heartfelt, and rooted in the traditions we love and the place we call home. From intimate acoustic sets to full-band throwdowns, we bring real music that connects—with heart, grit, and a little bit of twang.
Gilkey Cattle Company is based in the foothills of western North Carolina and plays regularly throughout Rutherford and Polk counties, with occasional stops in the surrounding areas. We’re available for a variety of venues and events, including private parties.
