Electronic Press Kit
This is the part where most bands have enough press quotes to wallpaper a tour van. But we’re musicians, not marketers; for now, this is as good as it’s going to get. We’ll let the photos, info below and links do the talking while we stick to what we do best: playing real music for real people. We’re available for live performances and events across various venues, including festivals, private parties, fundraisers, grand openings and weddings.
Bio (for press)
“Where’s the beef? Gilkey Cattle Company doesn’t sell beef, but they do serve up a hearty helping of both modern and classic country, southern rock and re-imagined singer-songwriter favorites, all with a sound that’s uniquely their own. They are headed up by Garry Cuthbertson, and based in the foothills of western North Carolina.”
Audio Samples
Kate (the band’s fiddler) independently released a single that is available on all major streaming platforms:
We’re working on a demo featuring Garry’s (the lead singer’s) vocals and original music, so look out for that in the future!

Where We Play
We were invited to play the 2026 Earl Scruggs Festival (headliner was Alison Krauss & Union Station) at Tryon International, and we play regularly in Rutherford and Polk counties (Main Street Market, Saluda Outfitters/Eddy’s Taproom, Twisted Pear/Social Depot, Federation, On Main, BrewDega, Silver Spoon Saloon, Barley’s Taproom, Chimney Rock Smokehouse, various private gigs/parties, etc. We are in good standing with all of these folks, and we are excited to be branching out to new venues).

What We Provide for Venues
We can provide our own PA system/sound. We promote our shows and the venues regularly up until (and sometimes during) event day through social media posts and Facebook event postings. We often, but not always, invest in paid ads to promote events for which we are booked.

Other Media
One day, we’ll wrangle someone into taking a proper professional band photo, and maybe even a music sample or a live video. Until then, feel free to gaze upon these stills of us with our respective instruments and questionable fashion choices—all lovingly pulled from the depths of old phones, hard drives, and wherever else we could dig them up. When you’re ready to hear us instead of just look at us, you know where to find us…

This sweet note was left in our tip jar one night recently (we usually play Rebecca Lynn by Bryan White in our set). To the sweet anonymous soul who left this note in our tip jar: thank you.
You never know what a song is carrying for someone else until moments like this. We play music because we love it, but every now and then we’re reminded that songs can quietly hold memories, people, grief, reconciliation, and hope all at once.
We were deeply moved reading your words. We hope that song brought back something good and gentle for you, even in the middle of complicated things. Thank you for trusting us with that piece of your story.
Whoever you are, we’re glad you were there that night. ❤️
